What qualifications and experience do I need?
You need an undergraduate degree in the sciences or something equivalent at a minimum. A higher degree is helpful but not mandatory. No prior knowledge is needed, as the course is designed for aspiring entry-level medical writers.
Will I be able to fit this course in around a job or studying?
Totally. We’ve built this course to work around other commitments. The live seminars are all recorded, so if there’s any reason you can’t attend, you can watch them back at your own pace. The weekly writing tasks have generous timelines too.
What if I can't make it to all of the live seminars?
All live seminars are recorded, so you don't have to be there in person for everything. We'd love you to be there if you can, but don't stress if you can't.
Will I get a job afterwards?
Doing the course won’t guarantee you a role with us or our agency friends, but it’ll certainly boost your chances. Many of our alumni have gone on to find roles. Graduates who pass with distinction receive letters of recommendation and personal introductions to our handpicked recruitment partners.
Can I do the course if I live outside of the UK?
Yes! You can take the course wherever you’re from. If you’d like to make it to the seminars live then you’ll need to take note of the time differences. But since they’re recorded, you won’t miss out either way. We’ve had students join us from countries including Australia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Norway, Spain, Portugal, and the US!
What makes your course better than others?
How long have you got? We’re raising the medical writing bar for the industry, going well beyond the training standards recommended by the Healthcare Communications Association, so our CPD-accredited training is truly leading the industry. Our course has been created and is run by a team of experienced med comms specialists. It’s grounded in adult learning principles and led by an officially qualified teacher. You get real agency experience from working on briefs inspired by real projects, with hands-on feedback throughout. We have an innate ability to recognise and foster top talent, with a dedicated recruitment partner to support our distinction-level graduates with finding a role after the course. Our expertise is second to none, which is why we’re also a trusted training partner for large network agencies and top pharma companies.
What do I need to do to pass?
The course has a mix of formative and summative assessments throughout. You need to attend all seminars (or watch the recorded versions) and complete the associated weekly multiple-choice questions, complete all weekly writing tasks including the final graded assessment. Upon completion, you’ll receive an official certificate and badges to share on your socials.
Can I pay in instalments?
Absolutely. Various payment plans are available, so you can pay in either one, two or three equal instalments. Please note that course fees typically need to be paid in full before your course starts.
